The library of the British University is a space for teaching and research, open to students, academic staff, and all interested external users. The library space incorporates a book depository, an IT facility, a reading hall, a space for meetings and group work.

Library Users
The Library is available to:
Students of British University;
Academic, administrative, and invited personnel;
Representatives of partner organisations, based on relevant agreements;
Other persons authorised by the University.
Use of the Library is free of charge for University students and staff.

The Library ensures that resources are updated periodically, aligned with academic programmes, and accessible according to the needs and number of students.
Library Services
Library users can:

Borrowing Library Resources
Library materials may be borrowed only after registration by Library staff. The number of items that can be borrowed and the borrowing period are determined by the Library administration.
Certain resources are not available for borrowing, including rare publications, single-copy items, reference materials, periodicals, and special collections.
Users are responsible for returning borrowed materials on time, protecting Library resources from damage, and compensating for any loss or damage where applicable.
Electronic Resources
The Library provides access to electronic resources through authorised systems and databases. Electronic resources may be available through the University network or remote authenticated access.
Users must use electronic resources responsibly. Unlawful distribution of electronic resources, sharing authentication credentials with third parties, and violating copyright rules are prohibited.
Reading Area Rules
The Library provides an academic environment for reading, research, and independent study. Users are expected to maintain silence, appropriate behaviour, cleanliness, and order.
Noise, food consumption outside designated areas, damage to Library property or equipment, and disturbance of other users are prohibited. In case of rule violations, Library staff may restrict a user’s right to use the Library.
Inclusive and Secure Environment
The Library is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all users. For persons with special needs, the Library supports physical accessibility, adapted spaces, and access to electronic resources.
The Library also operates safety and security mechanisms, including security systems, video surveillance in the book storage area, and fire safety mechanisms.
Personal Data Protection
The Library ensures the protection of users’ personal data. Information about users is used only for the provision of library services, internal administrative purposes, and cases defined by applicable law.
Monitoring and Development
The Library continuously works to improve the quality of its services. Its activities are evaluated based on student feedback, statistics on the use of resources, programme needs, and quality assurance mechanisms.

Opening Hours
The Library is open to students and staff at least six days a week.
Opening hours:
Monday – Saturday: 09:00 – 19:00
Sunday: Closed
Changes to opening hours during holidays, examination periods, or special university events may be announced separately through the University’s official communication channels.
How to Borrow a Book
Students and staff may borrow library materials after registration with the Library staff.
To borrow a book:
Visit the Library and select the book or resource you need;
Present your student or staff identification information to the librarian;
The librarian will register the borrowed item in the Library system;
Check the return deadline before leaving the Library;
Return the book on time and in good condition.
Please note that some materials cannot be borrowed and may only be used in the Library. These include rare publications, single-copy items, reference materials, periodicals, and special collections.
Users are responsible for borrowed materials and must avoid damaging or losing Library resources.
