Cybersecurity
The programme aims to educate highly qualified cybersecurity specialists equipped with both advanced theoretical knowledge and practical expertise aligned with international industry standards and labor market demands.
Programme Overview
The programme is a joint postgraduate programme between the British University and Georgian Technical University, combining the academic and technological strengths of both institutions to provide a high-quality educational environment and strong practical orientation. In addition, the programme incorporates preparation for internationally recognized ISC2 certification, which aligns the academic curriculum with globally recognized professional cybersecurity standards and significantly enhances graduates’ employability in international labor markets.
The programme provides students with the latest knowledge and competencies in cybersecurity, enabling them to analyze vulnerabilities and threats within modern organizational information systems and to implement appropriate processes and technologies to address them effectively. Graduates will be capable of designing information security strategies for different types of organizations, developing secure cyber infrastructures, and establishing comprehensive protection systems for digital environments and critical data.
Through an integrated curriculum that combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and applied research, students develop the ability to analyze complex cybersecurity challenges and apply relevant cybersecurity principles, industry standards, and best practices to design effective and innovative solutions. The programme equips graduates with the capacity to assess cybersecurity risks, implement protective technologies, and ensure operational continuity in the presence of cyber threats and security incidents.
The programme also emphasizes professional communication, teamwork, and ethical responsibility. Graduates will be able to communicate effectively in diverse professional and technical contexts, collaborate successfully as members or leaders of multidisciplinary teams working on cybersecurity challenges, and make responsible decisions in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards. In addition, the programme develops students’ independent research capabilities, enabling them to investigate emerging cybersecurity issues and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the field while maintaining academic integrity and ethical principles.
Students are offered the opportunity to choose between a 1-year and a 2-year programme in Cybersecurity.
Please note that some aspects of the programme differ depending on whether students select the 1-year or 2-year option. Upon successful completion of the 1-year programme, students are awarded the qualification of Master of Cybersecurity. Upon successful completion of the 2-year programme, students are awarded the qualification of Master of Research in Cybersecurity.
Please carefully review the details provided below for each programme option.
