Global Partnerships

British University takes pride in its growing network of global partnerships spanning three continents, with new collaborations added each year. At the heart of our international strategy is our academic affiliation with the University of Buckingham—a cornerstone of our institutional foundation. Buckingham played a vital role in the establishment of British University in 2019 and supported us in obtaining our higher education license in 2020. Since then, the University of Buckingham has continued to provide essential academic and institutional support.

Thanks to this partnership, British University now delivers education in Georgia that meets British academic standards. Students enrolled in our BA in Business and Management and BA in Political Science programmes benefit from the unique opportunity to earn dual diplomas—one from British University and one from the University of Buckingham. This collaboration offers an outstanding pathway for aspiring global leaders seeking internationally recognized qualifications.

Beyond our affiliation with Buckingham, we collaborate with other prestigious British institutions through our Global Pathway Programme. Our partners include the University of Essex, University of Sussex, Royal Holloway (University of London), and Brunel University London. These partnerships enable students to begin their studies in Georgia and transfer seamlessly to complete their degrees in the UK. We also extend this opportunity through our partnership with the University of Lynchburg in Virginia, USA.

A remarkable highlight of our global engagement is our partnership with Meisei University in Japan, which offers selected students the chance to spend a summer in Japan with tuition and living expenses fully covered—a transformative academic and cultural experience.

We also offer study abroad opportunities in collaboration with leading universities across Europe and Asia, including:

  • Transilvania University of Brașov

  • Adelphi University (USA)

  • Indian Institute of Foreign Trade

  • West University of Timișoara

  • LUISS Business School

  • Istanbul Gedik University

  • IULM University (Italy)

In addition, we have established specialised academic partnerships with:

  • University of Richmond – Joint delivery of political management certification courses

  • Bar-Ilan University – Joint cybersecurity programmes

  • George Washington University – Letter of Intent signed to explore academic cooperation and joint initiatives

  • Supply Chain Academy (UK) – Joint courses in supply chain management

Our global partnerships also extend to international organisations, offering students valuable extracurricular opportunities, including internships, training, and leadership development. These organisations include:

  • International Republican Institute (IRI)

  • National Democratic Institute (NDI)

  • CAMCA Educational Consortium

Together, these partnerships form the backbone of British University’s international outlook, enriching student experience and academic excellence through global integration.
